from Yesterdays by Grahame Stuart Booth

/

about

This track was written back in 1988 when my son was born. It was written comlete with lyrics and was a guitar 'folksy' sort of number. Over the years the melody has stuck with me and I always thought it lent itself to a more classical interpretation. Brass band sounds come to mind and I think it now captures more that sort of atmosphere.

lyrics

Part of orginal lyrics....
' Oh I was born, in a Yorkshire town.

Right next door to a pub with a sign.
In a back to back, in a terraced line...'
