Teignmouth (Dawlish reprieve)

from Yesterdays by Grahame Stuart Booth

about

In the early 90's we managed to holiday a few times in Devon and Cornwall. The epic car drives required to get there were a nightmare and to pass the time I used to write silly songs to amuse the kids on the long journeys. This melody is a compilation of two of them -T' T' T' Teignmouth and Diddly Doo Dah Dawlish!! Need I say any more. They both had lyrics but I have reconstructed them as a 'sea-sidey' sort of musical.

lyrics

Diddly Doo Dah Dawlish, Diddly Doo Dah Day
We're off to Dawlish Warren.
That;s where we're gonna stay...etc etc.

Although not a skilled musician, I have such wonderful tools available to me that nowadays this is no longer a hindrance to producing my music.
